Unfortunately, it’s not possible to disable the export functionality or remove the export command directly within Aurena. These commands are part of the framework and are not customizable through the page designer. However, you might consider alternative approaches, such as restricting access or hiding the menu item using Aurena Page Designer.

Correct, the particular client feature of being able to export data into Excel is part of the framework and not something that is part of the client metadata, which is what you can control using the Page Designer. Hence it’s not possible to hide, or restrict access to this feature currently.

It’s key to understand that even if a possibility to hide/disable this client feature would be introduced in the future all the Data Access Control (DAC) in IFS Cloud is implemented server side (as it should be). Hiding a client feature like this could be a way of discouraging users to extract data from the system, but it should not be considered to provide any real DAC, or security. Nor should it be considered to play any key role in a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategy as anyone with access to the data can certainly get it into an Excel file if they want to (even without this client functionality).

That said, input acknowledged, we understand this could play a role in encouraging users to extract data from the system. Hiding/disabling it would discourage a portion of the users from doing so as it would be less convenient to do so.

We really appreciate the feedback, thank you! We’ll consider this for possible implementation in a future release.

Thanks!
