Help creating projection in dev studio

Hello,

 

Hoping you can help.

We need to create an end point(IFS10) to pass to a third party to return three fields of information. 

My understanding is this achieved via the IFS Developer Studio. I create a projection, which will give me an end point and via postman i can send the data which will be later used to run a transaction created via stored procedure.

Not used developer studio before and seem to hitting errors when creating the projection, not sure if we need to use the service layer and if Aurena is involved. 

Hoping to hear of anyone that has set this up please?

Developer studio is useful for this, yes. However, I would look into the IFS Developer courses that are offered from IFS Academy. Additionally, you can use standard projection endpoints with postman and other third-party tools. It really depends on your criteria.

​@rosscortb unfortunately it is....and its the best resource along with this community. I think the best thing it may help with is understanding the structure of parts of IFS

​@rosscortb I definitely have and do often, thanks for asking! 
However that may not help at this point, without knowing the errors you are getting this is a difficult/broad question…

I’m suggesting getting a handle on the concept because creating a projection is not difficult and there are a lot more not super well documented road blocks you’ll hit…

​@rosscortb It will be easier to suggest solution if you can provide more detail how you are creating the projection and what error you are getting.

​@Rohit Hi, so I worked out how to create the projection and we have exposed it in Aurena,. It does look bare compared when you create a custom logical unit but it does have post. When we take the endpoint and do a sample POST in postman, we can’t not authenticate to it despite being able to authenticate with other endpoints that are available
