I’m trying to upgrade my solution in Build Studio. We haven’t gone live yet with any version in our use place. Is there an easy way to start over? Can I recreate the build home as part of an upgrade?
When I build a topic environment, that seems to only care about the new code.
When I run a sanity build, that also seems to only care about the new code.
When I build a delivery, it’s trying to compare this new version against the old one, and I’m getting build errors from invalid objects that I didn’t properly drop. These objects were never in production, though, so it seems wasteful to be chasing these. This tooling makes it very challenging to start over. Every time I need to make a change, I have to
wait several hours for a topic environment,
then wait several more hours to delete that environment,
then wait several more hours to create the sanity build,
then wait a day for the delivery,
only to discover an error that wasn’t caught the whole way there.
Development iterations that used to take me 30 minutes in IFS 9 are now taking several weeks in Cloud.
