How do I export a Business Reporter report from IFS so that non-IFS users can see it?  When I run it and Distribute it to myself, it downloads, but if I send that to a person who does not have business reporter installed they get a blank workbook.

Hi,

IFS provides a specific feature for this exact scenario:

Option 1: Export as "Excel Report without Business Reporter" (Recommended)

  1. Open the Business Reporter report inside Excel with the IFS Business Reporter add-in active.
  2. In the IFS Business Reporter ribbon/tab, click on Export.
  3. In the Export to Excel Report dialog box, choose: → Export to Excel Report without Business Reporter (or similar wording: “Excel report without BR functionality”).
  4. Select the desired options and export/save the file.

This creates a static Excel file with the data and formatting baked in — no dependency on the Business Reporter add-in. Non-IFS users can open it normally in regular Excel and see the full report.

Option 2: Export Directly from IFS Cloud (Order Report)

  • Go to the Order Report page in IFS Cloud.
  • Find your published Business Reporter report.
  • When ordering it, look for the output format or printer options.
  • Some setups allow exporting as a plain Excel file (without BR).
