Currently we have an event action which send out two attachments.
Is there a possibility to combine these two documents and send as a one attachment.

To my knowledge, it is not possible to combine the PDF files into one even in the later versions of the application. If these are static documents such as disclaimers, Terms of Service etc., then perhaps you can prepare one document beforehand. Otherwise, you would have to attach them as separate documents.

This should be possible by using an external tool on the server.
In short, download the files to the server, have the tool do the merging and then load that combined file into IFS again.
