After entering the url to log into IFS one of our users is receiving the following error:

Ifs.Fnd.FndSystemException: An unhandled exception has occurred.

A severe error caused this and IFS Applications will shutdown. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. ---> System.BadImageFormatException: Could not load file or assembly 'Ifs.Fnd.Explorer.Extenders, Version=4.52.10.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=ff90f512e10aef0d' or one of its dependencies. The module was expected to contain an assembly manifest.

   at Ifs.Fnd.ApplicationRuntime.Core.FndApplication.Run()

   at Ifs.Fnd.ApplicationRuntime.Startup.RunApplication()

   at Ifs.Fnd.ApplicationRuntime.Startup.StartupApplication(String[] args)

   --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

   at Ifs.Fnd.FndException.Show(String message, Exception innerException)

Can someone please advise.

Hi,

If only one user is getting this error, reason probably is with the PC client cache. Try clearing client cache and downloading application again from the URL

@Ruchira Thank you so much for your reply.

Exactly, what I advised which was to remove the 2.0 folder from C:\Users\UserA\AppData\Local\Apps folder.  When the user tried the URL again the application downloads completed successfully without any errors.

@Ruchira , what if the client keeps getting this errors? There are weeks that this happens at least 4 times… In everyone of them he erases the 2.0 folder, but he would like to resolve this for good… Can you tell me why this keep happening or if there is other resolution to this kind of error?
