We recently encountered an issue where Custom Fields related to the CustomerOrder table could not be published in IEE with the following error:
Failed executing statement (ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified or timeout expired)
This caused issues throughout IFS because it removed the CUSTOMER_ORDER_CFV, CUSTOMER_ORDER_JOIN_CFV, and CUSTOMER_ORDER_LINE_CFV views from the database. The only solution was to request a restart of the database, fortunately this was not in Production. Support believes that there was a background task that might have cause the issue but they are unable to determine what task it was. Has anyone else experienced something similar?
It’s great that we can fix the issue with a database reboot, however we need to know what this happened so that we can prevent it from happening in Production.
