Hello.

I created a new custom field, a combobox type (not a column), and I have some issues to make it visible for all users by defaut.

If they do a right click → properties, the new custom field is still listed.

What’s the way to make it visible by default?

Thanks

Hi @romsar

you need to make it visible in their basic profile.

Hello @Link
Thanks for your feedback. By profile, you are talking about the user profile?

I use to click on “edit base profile” and I select the profile that we made

Hi @romsar

yes, you have to make it visible there:

And don’t forget to reload the configuration via rmb.

Hello @Link

I deployed once again on the base profile and now, the field is visible…

Now, I changed both the coordinates and the size of the CF but it’s not updated for every user, is there a specific action to realize?

Hi @romsar

You need to save the changes to the user profile again.

Hi @romsar

do you use for every user the same basic profile?

Hello.

I think I got it, there is an order to make the publication :

  1. reload the configuration
  2. Deploy on an edit base profile
  3. Close the IFS session to get a new screen to confirm step 2

@Link yes, we use the same base profile to deploy every custom field, it’s a base profile that we made, so it’s not IFS standard.
