We’ve created a new context/scope in Aurena and want to roll it out to users. The only way I can find to do that is by default company. We have several business units and would like some users to see one style screen, and other users to see a different one. They are all users with the same default company. Is there any other way to do this other than company?

There are more attributes that you can use to map contexts. Specially user and user groups will work for your requirement. See technical documentation path - .../045_administration_aurena/220_Configuration/330_configuration_contexts/default.htm

Thank you very much for this! I don’t have a log in to the site you reference, but I’m trying to see how I can get one.

I see you’re an employee of IFS. Do you know how I can get access to the link you provided

I sent only a part of the link. Normally you should have your own technical documentations setup in your environment (its called technical documentation, F1 docs, documentation, etc). It should start with your own domain name but the ending part is same for all.

Go to one of your pages and replace the ending path with below.

…/045_administration_aurena/220_Configuration/330_configuration_contexts/default.htm

Or else try it from the left sidebar menu.

If you still cannot access try the following steps.

Login to Aurena client → Open user menu → select Online documentation

From the online documentation click “Technical doc” link in bottom left corner.

Hope this helps.

It does help, thank you!

Hi Again,

I’m wanting to use Wage Class and it doesn’t seem to work. I got this to work using company. Am I doing something wrong? I tried with and without a space.

Hi, Yes, in your screen shot there is a space between Wage and Class. Try removing that. It should be WageClass but not Wage Class

Thank you very much! Of course I tried Wage Class and wageclass, but not WageClass with the capital letters since the document above said they were case insensitve.

Does it work with WageClass but not wageclass?

Yes.

This doesn’t work

This does work

As s side note, in our newly created context window we keep getting this error. Any ideas? We can hit report and choose continue (unstable) and keep going. Just not sure why we are getting it. Thanks!

If you select “Report” what do you see? Any more details there?

What is the new context window you created? Most probably there should be a problem with that or something is lacking there. Go through the documentation again and make sure every step is done properly.

The text that is in the box is too many characters to post here. I’ll try a PM. It’s not really a custom context, we just eliminated things we don’t need our employees to worry about.

Looks like PM is less characters.

yup, try to extract only the part that describes an error or warning. At the end it will list version details so on you can remove all of them.

Given that, you may have only make some fields hidden right? Try logging off, logging back, refreshing browser client, clear browser caches ( you will need to empty it or use different browser) - or simply try Ctrl + Shift + R.

Tried all of those and still getting it. Multiple users get this too, not just one

If it is not a problem, try restarting managed servers - using mws_svr.cmd script ( you may stop all servers and start all server) - but this will shutdown the environment completely. This will clear caches inside middle tier and might help if it is a problem with that.

If that doesn’t work, let us know the exact steps you performed. So we can try in our environments as well.
