Hello IFS Community,
We are currently running 5 environments (including PRD and non-PRD) for our implementation project with 500 users. Recently, we checked Insight Studio and found that our total Database Usage has already exceeded our Database Entitlement (350GB).
For additional context, even in environments where we have barely inputted any data, a single environment is already consuming around 80GB.
Given this situation, could you please advise on the following points?
-
Environment Impact & Sizing: For those who manage multiple environments, how do you typically manage database entitlements? Is a 350GB pool generally expected to cover 5 environments, or is it common to adjust the contract/environment count? (If you are running 5 environments, we would also be interested to know your contract user count.)
-
Identifying Space Consumption: What are the recommended steps, tools, or system views to identify what is consuming database space (e.g., system logs, attachments, specific tables)?
-
Safely Reducing Database Size: Are there standard procedures or best practices within IFS Cloud to safely purge unnecessary data, clear logs, or reduce storage usage?
-
Real-World Usage Reference: As a point of reference, could you share how long you have been using your PRD and non-PRD environments, and approximately how much database capacity they are currently consuming?
Any advice, experiences, or similar cases would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!
