Hello everyone,

we are currently planning a new on-premise IFS Cloud High Availability installation.

According to the IFS documentation, a customer-provided hardware or software load balancer must be used in front of the Middle Tier cluster. IFS does not provide a dedicated load balancer solution and the load balancer must support session stickiness. [docs.ifs.com], [docs.ifs.com]

We are now evaluating possible options and would like to learn from other customers' experiences.

Some questions:

  • Which load balancer are you using with IFS Cloud HA?
  • Are you using Citrix ADC, F5, NGINX, HAProxy or another solution?
  • Is the solution vendor-supported in your environment?
  • How long have you been running it in production?
  • Have you experienced any issues with session stickiness, WebSockets, SSL termination or upgrades?
  • Would you recommend your current setup?

We are particularly interested in customer experiences from Europe, but feedback from all regions is highly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for sharing your experiences and recommendations.

Best regards

Marion
