Question

CRWeb Exporting report stream failed

Hi All,

I’m working through getting our Crystal Web Report Services working.

I have worked through https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/Foundation1/020_installation/400_installation_options/005_operational_reporting/110_configure_crystal_web_service/010_setup_cws/default.htm

General tests from the ‘Ifs_ReportServices.asmx’ are all working.

The Crystal report can be previewed fine in Crystal Report Designer.

When trying to run from IFS, IFS gives the error of “No PDF report returned from Crystal Web Service” and the log file shows.

I have even tried without any sub-reports and receive the same errors.

I am running the report from a Quick report and the base Part Number and Revision parameters are passed in the ‘Order Report’ window.

Hi @amysaab

I have come across this error several times and below were the reasons

  1. Wrong letters in IFS_RESULT_KEY name in operational reports
  2. Null parameters passed in Sub reports links in quick reports.

Looking at the error logs it looks like the error is generated from the main parameters which are Part Number and Revision.

However I am confused as how you use a quick report in ‘order report’ option. Is this in Aurena?

Hi Nadeesha,

I’m sorry your answer is a little confusing to me. I am running this from Enterprise Explorer.

The report is defined in the Report Definitions. It clearly finds the crystal report file without issue.

I have attempted removing the sub reports all together and I get the same issue.

What do you mean by the

“Wrong letters in IFS_RESULT_KEY name in operational reports”

Amy
