When I create a task for a follow up for myself, it doesn’t trigger a notification on the notification panel. User will need to go to Tasks to see it. If someone else is assigned, the notification will be triggered.

Is this a known limitation (Customer version is 24R2)?

Hi @PlaBhagyW
Thank you for your inquiry regarding task notifications in IFS Cloud.

In IFS Cloud, the Notification Panel is designed to surface events or changes that require user attention. When you assign a task to yourself, the system does not treat it as a new actionable event in the same way as when a task is assigned by another user. This is by design, under the assumption that the user assigning the task is already aware of it.

The behavior you're observing, where a notification is triggered when someone else assigns you a task, but not when you assign it to yourself is consistent with the current design of the notification logic.

That said, I understand the value in receiving reminders or alerts even for self-assigned tasks when they are getting due. While this is not currently part of the standard behavior, feedback like this helps shape the future of the offerings.

Thank you.
