Hi @JamesW72 ,
We are using IFS Application 10 Update 8 on-premise but we’ve looked at using Microsoft Azure to host our IFS servers since we have other servers with Azure. We decided against it right now because we are not planning on refreshing our servers for 3 more years. We will reevaluate in 3 years when its time to refresh the servers and upgrade from IFS Application 10 to IFS Cloud edition.
Regards,
William Klotz
Hi JamesW72,
We as Platned Syngco provide Azure hosting services to IFS customers around the world.
We have completed a similar migration from on-prem to Azure cloud for Apps 10 few months ago and customer is very happy with performance of the environment.
If required we can wrap around additional services like DR, Azure Site Recovery, Defender for cloud and many more to reap benefits of being in the cloud.
Please connect me directly on saminda.g@platnedsyngco.com.
Thanks
Saminda
We are using Logicalis, essentially self-managed from an IFS perspective, but Cloud hosted for the security, reliability, and location aspects. UK based company, South African conglomerate owned, with physical server location we’re using in Phoenix, AZ, USA. We used them starting with V8, then V9, and will spend at least the first couple of years with them in Cloud. We also use them for many of the other IFS connected applications as well as non-IFS related services throughout the company.
