Change the pdf save location in report designer

Hi All,

 

We get the below error when preview a report layout with report designer

 

It is due to that users don’t have write access to the report designer install location (C:\Program Files (x86)\IFS\IFSReportDesigner) to create \temp folder to save the pdf.

is there any way to change the pdf save location than the \temp to avoid this error?

Hi @dsj 

 

Please specify java parameter -Djava.io.tmpdir=c:/temp during report designer cmd startup.

Hi @knepiosko ,

 

Thanks a lot. Unfortunately it didn’t solve the problem. Seems this temp folder is created when report is previewed. We managed to solve the problem via workaround to install it in a different drive which is not restricted by group policies.
