Hi

Customer is using Azure AD authentication and want to use CRM Panel Outlook Add-In (IFS CRM Panel v10.4.0.0). But Login from Outlook is not working is Azure AD authentication is used. When you press “Log In” in CRM Panel, Azure AD authentication page pops up and after entering e-mail address and password, it just show “Log In” page of CRM panel again.

(when using Database authentication, it works fine).

We configured Azure AD App registration as described in IFS help files .

Customer is using IFS Applications 10 UPD5.

Anyone that got CRM Panel working with Azure AD? Is there any patch that needs to be installed?

Have you added the re-direct URL https:// application_server:port_no/main/ifsapplications/rmpanel/AppCommon/Auth/Callback.html for Aurena App registration in Azure AD?

Hi

Yes, reply URL is set on same app ID as Aurena (see picture):

Hi,

In case it’s not already done, you would need to enable implicit grants in Azure AD App ID registration used for Aurena (this is the one that is used for CRM Panel as well).

Cheers

Hi

implicit grants are set. Even “AllowImplicitFlow” in manifest is set to true.

Does it matters if ReplyUrl is in mixed case?

Hi,

i don’t remember mixed case Reply URI’s being a issue. One interesting thing that comes to mind is the fact that authentication in the CRM panel will not work until the user you are testing with has logged on to the Aurena client at least once. The reason for this at the time was that there is no default handling  in the panel for additional prompts that are coming in the Azure AD flow . The very first time you login to Aurena using AAD you should get a secondary confirmation box that will ask you to confirm that you are trying to access the App ID which needs to be confirmed. May be you are having the same issue. Fix for this was to ask the user to login to Aurena atleast once before trying to get in to the Panel.

Cheers

Hi

Thank you very much. That was exactly the problem.

After logging in to Aurena client (and confirming permission) we are able to use CRM  panel from Outlook.
