We are just starting to role out Aurena to certain Functional Groups and I’m wondering how the permissions work.   I built a permission just for Aurena but am finding that the users also have access to what they have permission to view in IEE.

Is this the way it is supposed to work?

Hi,

If you are moving from using IFS Enterprise Explorer to IFS Aurena you will need to update your current permissions to utilize projections.  The IFS Aurena client utilizes the permissions under the projections.  If you are updating the permissions from IFS Enterprise Explorer you can click on the tab on the permissions screen called Projections. If you are using aurena, you may use permission sets to define permissions (for projections) for user roles.

Regards,
Dilmi

We are using both - but it appears that the users that are using both have access to their IEE permissions in Aurena as well

Hi @sandra.waud ,

Similar database functions are shared by IEE and Aurena.  If you need to restrict viewing the particular window in IEE, you may need to restrict the access to particular presentation object for IEE.

Regards,
Dilmi.
