Question to any Apps10 customers hosted in the cloud.

When you are hosted in the cloud, the only document management option is to store documents in the database.  AS time goes on and the number of stored documents grow, this causes longer back-up times and increased database size.

Has anyone tried to moved out obsolete or retired documentation?

Once Document Revisions have been set to Status Obsolete, they may be deleted. A lobby element could be used to show Obsoleted Revisions after a certain number of days or a background job could likely be created to remove them automatically after being obsolete for a certain amount of time.

Hi Steve

Thanks for your comment.  Your suggestion is deleting the documents, not moving out of the cloud environment.

My apologies, I misunderstood. We used to be able to change document repository to a network drive which you would then have been able to copy the documents out of the network drive to back them up. Hopefully someone has written an export script and is willing to share. Sorry I couldn’t help.
