Greetings, IFS community.

A quick report needs to be automated.

Could a type of global variable be used within the subject and body of the email?

For more information, please refer to the screenshot.

Thanks,

JL

Hi @ZTC ZTC JGOTA,

I have tried using Context Substitution Variables in the Application Server Task’s subject and the body, and they didn’t work. So I guess it is not possible.

Hope this helps!

@Charith Epitawatta

Thank you for your prompt response, Charith.

It would be helpful if we could make use of some global variables in this case to automate a quick report. I believe this is necessary, especially if the customer requires some custom data in the subject and body of the email. Even when I attempted to use HTML in the email body, it returned an error.

Would the newest IFS version make this possible?

Hi @ZTC ZTC JGOTA,

Agree that it is a useful functionality. It would be a good idea to create an idea for this on IFS Ideation so that it would be considered in future development sprints.
