I also noted the same and not sure if it’s a bug or the intended functionality.

How I overcome the problem is by creating a new projection and adding the custom entity and required actions.

According to the techdocs we cannot modify an autogenerated projection once its created, this may be the cause for this

During the Custom Entity creation, you have the option to create a default Projection specific to the new Custom Entity. Once created, this Projection is not allowed to be modified. It is listed with type Generated Projection (Custom Entity)under Projection Configurations.

IFS Support answer : 

Over the past few days, we engaged in comprehensive discussions with our Product Development Team, including Product Architects & Developers. After careful consideration, it has been determined that the challenge you are facing is Framework Limitation in system generated default projections. The system generated default projections are not allowed to be modified and cannot add “Custom Actions”

Nevertheless, we can use custom projections instead of using system generated default projections which allow custom actions.
