Hi Everyone, is it possible to add a LOV to standard free entry field ?
I suppose the answer is no and that we need to use a custom field instead but just need to make sure that I am not missing something .

Yes , as you suspected it is impossible to add LOV option to standard free entry field through the application configuration.
But you can achieve it through a customization.
And also you can do it using a custom filed
