will report designer deprecate

Does not look like many people are really using Report Studio, so I would not count on Report Designer deprecating any time soon. I have noticed that I cannot create new reports from scratch on Report Designer currently but that might just be because I need to update Report Designer.

As of now, in IFS Cloud there is no official announcement that Report Designer is being deprecated or replaced by Report Studio.

👉 Current situation:

• Report Designer is still actively supported and continues to be the standard tool for operational report layouts (IFS Docs)

• Report Studio is emerging as a newer tool and is being positioned more and more for future reporting needs

👉 What is confirmed:

• IFS is phasing out older technologies like:

  • Crystal Reports

  • SSRS integration

• The long-term direction is toward native IFS tools (Report Designer + Report Studio)

👉 Industry / roadmap indication (not official deprecation):

• Report Studio is expected to become the future-focused tool

• But Report Designer is still required and widely used today

• No clear timeline has been published for its removal

✔️ Practical takeaway:

• Continue using Report Designer for current work

• Start getting familiar with Report Studio for future readiness

• Plan transitions mainly from Crystal/SSRS → IFS native tools, not necessarily Report Designer → Studio (yet)

👉 In short:

• ❌ Report Designer is NOT deprecated (as of now)

• ✔️ Report Studio is being introduced alongside it, likely part of the future roadmap
