We cannot find any reason why making a manual voucher interim (reverse) is only available after approval. Why is the button not available before approval? The approver needs to know, we think? In the current flow the approver has to trust/assume another user will make the voucher interim (reverse). What do we miss?

Sorry … I’ve had the same conversation with R&D a number of years ago. Unfortunately, this is how it works.
My suggestion is to create an enhancement request. Once created add a comment to this posting. I will try to spread the word and get others to agree.

It’s because the Interim voucher function actually creates the second voucher which cannot be reversed if the source voucher would not be approved.
