We currently have the ‘Separate User Approval’ function set up and working properly on our Q & M voucher types.  For internal control purposes, we are trying to also set this up for B & N voucher types.  We are running into a problem where that option isn’t available.  Below are some screen shots to show how those are set up.  Is anyone able to help us figure out what needs to change to allow this?

We can’t figure out why there are two “function groups” set up for the B & N voucher types.  Q & M only have the one set up.  When we click edit on this page the toggle for “Separate User Approval” is not available.

If I try to remove one of the function groups I get this:

I don’t think I want to remove the user groups connected to the voucher series.

I do have an “Approver Assigning Rule” set up for N, but that didn’t help my troubleshooting.

Let me know if anyone has any suggestions!  Thank you!

Larissa

There is no point approving these vouchers as a Mixed Payment or an Offset has been already approved and you cannot change or cancel the voucher in other way than cancelling the source transaction.

Therefore, it should be a part of the process to review Mixed Payment / Offsets before they are approved and maybe give the permission to approve them only to selected users.

Thank you for your reply!  Do you have any tips on how to “give the permission to approve them only to selected users”?  I think that would work for what we need too.

That’s just standard permissions and roles design. You can restrict certain functions to be run for selected roles only.

Hi,

You can always utilize user groups and the voucher series voucher type

Assume user 1 is allowed to enter a mixed payment.  That user would belong to user group X where user group X does not have access to the voucher types N and B.   Thius allows them to enter a mixed payment.

User 2 can approve the mixed payment.  User 2 could be in user group y where user group y does allow the voucher type N and B.

Very easy.  I’ve used this for many clients.

Best regards,

Thomas
