Can you automatically upload bank statements into IFS Cloud from CAMT053 files for use in Automatic Transaction Matching screen?
I am aware you can load them into external payments for use in mixed payment, we have done that via SFTP reader, but would like to do the same (Via SFTP) to get the statement in for automatic transaction matching screen use.

Hi @AntKatekP

It is still not possible to load the camt.053 statement into automatic transaction matching in IFS standard solution. The related conversation is available below for your reference.

Can you/will you be able to load the CAMT 053 statement in IFS Cloud (even though you cannot in Apps 10)?

@AELDENISE

There are two types of reconciliations in IFS when it comes to bank statements. The more traditional approach is to reconcile your cash book balance with the bank statement, which is typically handled through automatic or manual transaction matching within the IFS bank reconciliation process.

The second approach is to reconcile your Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) directly against the bank statement. In this case, you record your cash book entries based on the transactions in the bank statement. Even in IFS Cloud, the camt.053 format is supported for AR and AP reconciliation through the external payment process and not for automatic transaction matching.

In practice, once you have a proper AR and AP reconciliation process established, there is no need to reconcile the balances again. If there is a strong business case, this is doable and we have enabled CAMT.053 loading for bank rec flow for one of our US customer. But, there should be a proper reason to justify the effort.

I recently delivered a session on a successful customer implementation during the IFS UK&I User Conference, and if I’m not mistaken, some of your team members attended. I’d be happy to clarify if there is any doubts.
