I have a user who is asking a question about why a specific control type within a posting type cannot be changed (FAP51/AC1).  Are there ‘out of the box’ posting type/control type that cannot be changed?  The effort is to change the control type within the posting type, but they are unable to do so.

Thank you for your consideration.

Robin

I should have mentioned, the transaction that we are doing is a transfer between companies.  The transfer method used is gross.

HI,

Not sure I’m fully understanding the question, so forgive me if the below does not match the question.

In posting control, assume we have a posting control record for posting type XYZ and a control type ABC (assume AC1 for example). You can’t edit the record for the control type. However, you can create a new record different date or delete existing and create a new record with different control type.

In other words, after a record is saved, you can’t change the control type, you can easily create new with a different date or delete the bad record and enter new.

Best regards.

Thomas

Thanks Thomas.  I appreciate the response.   You did answer my question.
