I am using deliver/receive shipment within same site for parts connected to project. The scenario is that shipments are prepared onshore and shipped offshore. There is a certain delay in the process. While delivering these shipments the M3 posting is without project connection. This means that value of the part is temporary taken out of the project until it is received offshore where it is brought back to the project with M1.
The setup of the posting control is like all inventory parts are expensed on arrival, meaning that M1 is connected to P&L accounts. It does not seem right that the projects for a while looses connection with inventory/cost values during shipments within warehouses on same site.
Anyone with reflections on this? Inputs are highly appreciated.
