Hi,

We are getting an Authentication Failure when we try to do a Test Transfer for the CIS Verification (from our Test IFS Cloud Database)

We have double checked that the Tax Report details agree to the details we see if when we log onto the Government Gateway with the User Name and Password.

Any ideas? WE are using our live HMRC Governemnt Gateway User Name and Password. Should we have a test User Name? There is no mention of that in the UK Country Solution Document 23R1.pdf

Cheers,

Graham

Hi,

Instead of your details, for testing these are the details to use:

  • User Name:CIS163
  • password: testing1

I’ve attached a screenshot of an earlier version of what the setup looks like (as in IFS Cloud the password is masked):

Also, please use the other details, i.e., tax ID number, our identity, UTR and account office as per the testing scenarios provided by HMRC for the tests to be successful. The screenshot above is using the details required for the subcontractor verification proposal, scenario 1. Each scenario has different details to use from your detail and subcontractor detail perspectives. I’ve attached the HMRC provided documents that provide the necessary details for testing verifications and the returns.

That is great. Thanks Leva. I did not see any mention of that in the UK Country Solution Document.

Much appreciated.

Cheers,

Graham

Hi ,

I am currently trying to test the CIS verification proposal flow using the provided test credentials by IFS [CIS163/testing1]. However, I am still encountering same error stating that the supplied user credentials failed validation for the requested service.

Could you kindly confirm whether these credentials are still valid, or if they have been updated recently? I would appreciate your input or guidance on how to proceed further.
