Dear community,

Each month we raise a voucher to manually accrue depreciation on some of our assets.  As the depreciation accounts are ledger accounts we process the journal as a Q voucher.  Unfortunately, we are not able to create an interim (reversal) from a Q voucher.

Are you aware of any way to get around this so we don’t have to manually post a second journal to reverse the Q?

Any ideas?

Thanks,

David.

Hi David,

Do you receive an error when trying to create the Interim Voucher? If so, would you be able to share a screenshot please?

Also, which version on IFS are you using?

I have just tested in our Apps10 environment, and I am able to create an Interim Voucher from a Q-Voucher - the Q-Voucher reference is shown in the “Voucher Reference” section:

The above was created by entering Q voucher (2020000000) in the Voucher Entry screen, pressing Save and then using the Right Mouse Button to Interim Voucher - is this the same process that you are following?

Thanks,
Chris

Thank you for the response @ChrisD.  Our organisation has transitioned straight from Apps9 to Cloud.  Wasn’t aware this was now possible.  Have tested in Cloud 24R2 and works perfectly.

Your help is greatly appreciated.
