We are encountering an issue while closing a project and would appreciate any insights.
During our investigation, we found that the system did not generate the capitalization voucher for a project cost transaction. The cost voucher is from 2019 and is related to a supplier invoice that is currently in PaidPosted status. The financial year is already closed.
When we attempt to close the project, the process fails with the following error.
“Voucher is not in balance”
After debugging, we confirmed that the expected capitalization voucher was never created by the system. Since the capitalization transaction is missing, the project closure cannot be completed.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Is there a supported way to regenerate the missing capitalization voucher or any recommended workaround for closing the project when the original accounting year is already closed?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
