I’m New to IFS  Finance Application.

I don’t understand the idea of post type control .

could you please explain what is post type and how to control it.

I’m using IFS9

I need to understand it functionality.

If you open up the Posting Control screen and press F1 to view the help as this will provide you with good information.

 

Next click About Posting Control

If you look at Posting Types per Business Event Analysis, it will show the System Event and the Posting Type it uses.
