Hi,

We are currently migrating open supplier invoices using the standard External File Template (Template ID: STDSIN2). As part of the migration, we would also like to import and attach the corresponding PDF copies of the supplier invoices.

We are able to successfully attach documents when migrating invoices using Template ID: STDSIN3. However, when using STDSIN2, we are unable to attach the PDF documents to the migrated invoices.

Could you please advise whether document attachment is supported for STDSIN2 and, if so, provide guidance on how to migrate the invoices along with their PDF attachments?

Thank you for your support.

Note: We are currently using IFS Cloud 24R2.

Hi @Thomas Peterson,

Thank you for your feedback. In STDSIN3, the file name attribute was already available in the standard template. However, this attribute was not available in the STDSIN2 template. To address this, I created a new template based on STDSIN2 and added the file name attribute. After making this change, I was able to successfully attach the invoice PDFs.

Thank you for your support.

Regards,

Mariappan C

Hi,

I have not tested images with SIN2.

Assuming that you have a copied template based on SIN2, and assuming you added the attribute for file name / path, did you test the same process you used with SIN3 with SIN2?

Again, I did not test, but would expect the same process from SIN3 for docs would apply to a copied SIN2 that has the image file name attribute.

@Thomas Peterson Would you mind reminding me where to store the files for the import? I remember FTP and certain file naming method were required. Or am I mixing it up with another method?

The rules for Cloud changed.  I’m pretty sure your 100% correct about the FTP for cloud. I had not tested for a long time. Many of my clients include the image in the XML, so it does not follow the same process.    The original post said, SIN3 works, but SIN2 does not.   “OOB” SIN2 does not have the image information, for that reason and many others we always (most people always) copy that template, add image and other tweaks.
