(IFS10) I have question about a Fixed Assets object which on Object Transactions Analysis has status “ExternallyCreated”. The transaction is an Ext Add Investment which originated from a supplier invoice.

The problem is that the amount is not taken into account when creating a Depreciation Proposal.

Does anyone know why the transaction has status “ExternallyCreated”?

hi @ArySha

You may have to activate that transaction from  “Add investment progress” window.

Thanks and regards,

Hello,

The transaction is not available in the ““Add Investment - Progress”-window...

Hi @ArySha

Then we may have to correct it via data repair.

Thanks and regards,
Viraj

Surely there has to  be a reason this has occurred. The Customer has activated these just like any other investment they’ve done. Any thoughts on what may have happened?

 Hi @ArySha

After adding Ext Add Investment it need to be activated from the Add-investment- progress window. Then the status will change to ‘Ready’ from ‘ExternallyCreated’. Thereafter only these newly added investments are considered into the depreciation/sales/disposal calculations.

In your scenario, if the supplier invoice was raised and updated for the asset but still its not visible in “Add investment progress” window. Then we may need to look into the details of the specific object transactions to identify the reason

Best regards

Hi @ArySha

Have you checked the depreciation method connected to the above mentioned object. There is basic data relating to add investment in depreciation method. Please refer below screen preview for easier reference.
