Hi,

Please can you help me with the Object Hold From Depreciation?

We have a number of Objects set on Hold From Date, but no Until Date.  What is the best way to get these Objects off Hold and restart the depreciation from the current period?  We don’t want the depreciation to recalculate from when the Object was originally set to Hold.

Are you using Apps 10?

It sound like you have paused depreciation on an Object , whilst the asset was being refurbished.   Now the Object needs to start depreciating at the current book value.  Is that correct?

 

 

Correct. 

The best way to correct would be to add a date in the “Until Date” under Objects Hold from depreciation window. 

 

Hi Ieva,

thanks for the advice.  We have tried entering an Until date, I didn’t see any change.  Advice has been to rollback the depreciation, then set on hold with an until date, run depreciation process to current year and period. We are reluctant to rollback depreciation as it relates to prior year.

Looking at other methods or processes.
