Hi Experts

I would like to know if it is possible to join two fields when performing the external voucher assistant. i have a file with surname and name.

i would like to join them into the Party_type_ID but i am not familiar with the “detail function” functionality

can someone give me a guide how to setup the Detail functions?

Best Regards

Sophal

hi @bytsophan

Why don’t you cancatenate the values in the excel file directly?

Seeing you’re trying to put lastname and firstname in the party_type_id I wonder if the system won’t reject that. Since this is going to be an expense voucher, party_type_id should probably be the person id?

Hi Marcel

Thanks for the input. We dont use the Expense tool in IFS. The customer imports just the GL Vouchers from an 3th party expense Tool. Party Type ID works you can type there anything you want since the field value doesnt get validated and the import is a manual voucher (Type M). The party Type ID corresponds with the field Identity.

The thing is the customer doesnt want to modify the excel and the 3th party tool is not capable of joining the name and surname automatically. So they want to export directly into a folder and import it directly into ifs (via ifs connect file upload).
