Hi Guys,

Have any of you been able to upload an invoice as XML with a tax code where the non-deductible portion is not 100, without using the overwriting value at company level?

I receive the following error: ‘Tax amount adjustment for tax code cannot be greater than the maximum overwriting level on tax’. From my side, both the tax and non-deductible portions appear to be correct in both invoice and tax line.

Would it be possible to share a working XML file, or provide any guidance on the validations applied by IFS?

@Thomas Peterson - Appreciate your thoughts on this

Based on the error message it looks like the values were entered incorrectly, or IFS believes they are incorrect.

I have not tested NDT (Non Deductible Tax) via XML.

If we consider the XML, is generated by the supplier, the supplier may not know the IFS concept of NDT, therefore the tax values (from the supplier / in the XML) may need to be like any other tax.

Just something for you to consider and test.

We had to get a customisation to deal with this. It does not work as standard IFS functionality when bringing invoices in via external supplier invoices (as it would when entering a manual supplier invoice directly)

Hi @Ashni Nayanthara

I assume that the import will be carried out using FINVOICE.

You cannot import the tax codes because there is no in the XML file avilalbe.

But in standard process the tax rate in the XML file is mapped to the tax rate in the ‘External Supplier Invoice Tax Codes’ view.

If the tax code cannot be found, then IFS uses the tax code from the supplier instead.

Unless you make a modification like @JGHSUSAN

@Thomas Peterson More and more customers complain about that screen lacking basic recalculation capabilities based on the tax code and deductibility %. Especially after they start using the IFS native OCR capture. We know that IFS standpoint is that this screen works as it is and there are no plans to add any kind of tax amounts recalculation there. I believe we need a new idea posted here and get as many votes as possible. Calling @Furkan Zengin, @Adam Bereda, @mabrpl,  … :)

Hi,

I don’t work in R&D.  I agree that a community idea would be a good thing.  Once created we can try and spread the word and get upvotes.   You can create an idea in a similar way as reporting a new question.  Make sure the idea / suggestion is selected rather than question.  For some reason, we have seen a few true ideas - that were created as questions, so please double check the selected option.

I am one of the complaining. With e-invoicing becoming mandatory in more and more countries invoice entry point moves from manual to External invoice window and missing functionalities are getting painful. Non-deductible tax calculation is just one example, next to split payment management in instalments, bank account validation etc.
IFS R&D should seriously consider improvements in this area of the system.
