A. What is your idea?

1) Classification

  • Opportunity for improvement

2) Brief description
In IFS Cloud , on the Invoices to Authorize page, users are unable to add additional posting lines and can only modify existing posting lines.

However, this functionality was available in IFS Applications 10 through Posting Proposal > Instant Authorization.

Due to the current behavior in IFS Cloud, users must be granted access to the Posting Proposal page to add additional posting lines. However, granting access to this page also enables users to perform broader related activities, such as posting invoices and purchasing etc. As a result, additional manual controls are required to ensure proper governance and compliance.

During the support case investigation, it was confirmed that this is the standard system behavior in IFS Cloud. The “Invoices to Authorize” page is architecturally designed as a review/approval-only view. It intentionally supports modification of existing posting lines, while adding new posting lines is not supported from this page by design.

If this functionality were available in IFS Cloud, it would help organizations to manage invoice authorization more efficiently while maintaining proper segregation of duties and reducing the administrative effort required to control access to broader posting functions.
