Hi,

My client wants to utilize the “include credit invoice’ functionality in supplier payment proposal. At the creation of the payment order, system does not allow to process the payment.

Does ISO20022 Core template allow to process credit invoices?

Payment formats per company

Payment Methods

Creation of the supplier payment order

Hi @Sadeepa Gamlath ,

To include Credit notes in the Supplier Payment Orders, the following basic data needs to be done in the “Format Specific Information per Institute” window for payment method ISO20022.

Go to Payment Institute window, Select on ISO20022 Payment method and use RMB option “Format Specific Information Per Institute.”

This functionality is used to include credit invoices, grouped with the debit invoices in the ISO20022 xml.

Hope this clarifies your question. Kindly get back to me should you have any concern.

Regards,

Lihini.

Hello,

As per my understanding, it is not possible to initiate in IFS negative supplier payment transaction - i.e. retrieve some amount from account of our supplier. Direct Debit entries are acceptable for customer side only.

@EntLihinP Does the above solution applicable for IFS8 as well or do we have other setup for IFS8 ?

If my understanding is correct, formats SEPA and ISO20022 in IFS version 8 are using company setup “Invoice Payment Refernce Validation No: Supplier Invoice Validation Method” (Company/Invoice/General tab)
If it is set to Used, each invoice is send as separate payment transaction. It means creadit notes cannot be send because it would create negative payment - not allowed.

If it is set to Not Used, supplier invoices in payment order are aggregated by invoice company, supplier,  beneficiary bank account and payment date, and payment is created successfully as long as amount o such aggregated  payment is positive (credit notes decreasing payment amount).

@Adam Bereda ,

Thanks for the information and the above-mentioned setup for Supplier Invoice Validation Method” is set as “NOT USED” still IFS8 throwing error as Credit note are not allowed for ISO20022. I am looking for an option/page where we can define grouping of Credit Invoice.

Can you share here content of your payment proposal - details? We should make sure that invoice company, supplier,  beneficiary bank account (payment address) and payment date are same on invoice and credit note in the proposal.
