IFS Apps 8 - Basic Data Template - Financials

Not fully understanding the question, finance basic data template. 

In IFS we have a concept of company template. The company template has a very large amount of finance basic data. This includes (not limited to), accounts, account groups, account types, posting control, payment terms, accounting periods, voucher types, etc.  It’s a very large list.  Many people consider this as basic data. 

Yes, the templates have existed in apps 8 and older. We use the template concept in Cloud as well.

It would be great help if you provide the template format. 

Generally speaking, you would use some existing data, a company or template, and use that to generate a new template.  

Because the templates are so vast / so much data, across so many screens, it would be impractical to start from scratch.  

A common example could be copy an existing templet, and change what you need.  Or take an existing company to create a new template, then change the new template.  Of simply create a new company and edit that companies' data. 

Back in your version, we had the external files process, where you can edit / add new records (basic data) to nearly any IFS screen.   I used that probably well over 100 times to load / edit basic data for countless clients.  See the forum for external files and how to use them / create new file types for nearly any IFS screen.
