How to scrap fixed assets with 0 value?

We sold assets in the legacy system before migration.
After migration the assets are active with 0 value.
Normally the status is “sell” and a value amount must be entered.
We wanted to mark the assets as "scrapped".
But as soon as we want to save the "Scrap" option, the following error message appears.

“Field[VOUCHER_NO] is mandatory for Voucher Note and requires a value. “

Ask for an opinion on how this error message can be circumvented here.

Hi @brantmb

There is patch 153242 that seems to fix the error (Error when scrapping an object with a note) and it has been released in UPD9

Does the object have a note?

Best regards,

Aneta

If the error is due to a note, there is a workaround. You can remove the note and scrap the object or before scrapping the object, check whether the asset is depreciated until the scrap date. Then this error will not arise.

Hello Aneta,

Yes the fixed assets do have notes attached.

Hello Aneta,

Thanks for your help.  The solution you have provided worked perfectly.   One thing to add is the note can only be removed by the creator of the note.

Best regards.
