Hi @MelLindaB 

Go to Accounting Periods window. Find the year you want to reopen.

On the upper section select the ledger ID and you will have available Open Up Closed Accounting Year function button.

Thank you for your response. 

 

However, I could not get this button while the period 2021 is closed. 

 

And when I go to the period before 2020 for example , I got that button but I could not reopen it since I have to open the next period.

You cannot reopen year if the next one is closed. While reopening, system is reversing year-end vouchers, correcting balances in period 13 of year you are opening and 0 in next year - so the nect year period 0 must be open first.

Yes, the thing is I’m trying to open the 2021 period and all the 2022 is already opened but I did not get that button.

Is the user granted for projection AccountingPeriodsHandling and projection action OpenUpClosed?

and stupid thing - make sure that closing periods action  is reversible for your company

Can you show then year 2021?
In my environement, after selecting year per ledger, if year is closed and next one open, reopen button gets available:
