We are looking to optimize the processing time of the IFS_GENERAL_LEDGER Tabular Model.
Currently, the GL ANALYSIS table is configured in IFS with a single PARTITIONFULL partition using the FACT_TRANS_BAL_SET_AM_CONF data source.
The SQL Server data load is already incremental, but the Tabular processing still processes the full GL ANALYSIS partition.
We would like to partition GL ANALYSIS by accounting_year_key, for example:
Partition_2024
Partition_2025
Partition_2026
and process only the current accounting year partition regularly.
We successfully tested this configuration directly in SSAS TEST. However, we cannot find a way in the IFS Cloud configuration to add multiple partitions to the existing GL ANALYSIS table.
Could you please confirm whether multiple partitions per table are supported by IFS Analysis Models - Tabular and provide the recommended configuration method?
We would also like to know whether creating these partitions directly in SSAS is supported or if they could be overwritten by a future IFS model deployment.
