Dear Team,

Could you please let us know the function group to be used for Consolidation, because currently one of our client has upgraded to 25R1from IFS 9. In IFS 9 they had voucher type C used for consolidation it was mapped to C function group. In IFS cloud 25R1 I cannot see the function group C

Could you please help with this?

Thanks&Regards,

Hi,

The old “consolidated accounts” functionality has been replaced by Group Consolidation. Consolidated accounts began its phase out beginning in apps 9, but even more so in apps 10.

Group Consolidation uses all new screens and functions. It’s very different.

As you know, the old solution created vouchers to bring the balances to the parent company. In this it used the C function group.

Group con, is very different. In group con, we must have a “master company” where balances are transferred via reporting entities. we don’t use voucher entry process.   Furthermore, the adjustments - adjustment entries do not use the voucher entry process.

In short, function group C no longer exists, as we have a new consolidation tool - Group Consolidation, and this tool is very different from consolidated accounts.

Best regards,

Thomas
