Hi There,

I am looking for a solution to perform the revaluation of fixed assets as a bulk.

In the real customer scenario they want to revalue 20,000 fixed assets, which is not possible to do manually one by one. Is there a possible way to perform it using external files?

Not necessarily with external files but with data migration that should be possible. By the way, if they want to revalue them with the same percentage I think it was possible to select multiple assets for the transaction.

Thank you @piswpl . I have one another question. In the below practical scenarios, what are the most used/suitable solutions in IFS out of Acq. value adjustment per book, Add investment, change acquisition value, and change net asset value.

  1. Revaluation
  2. Impairment of asset
  3. Adding a new investment at a later point
  4. Adjusting currency changes/accounting standard changes to a fixed asset cost

I hate to say it, but there is not just one answer to this question. Different countries, different revaluation reasons, different rules. Different in a single legal entity, different in international group of companies.

You will need all of them at some point.

I like to use acquisition value adjustments the most.

I am not sure if I understand what you mean by Impairment. If it is a full write-off then it would be scrapping. Partial - change object value or even split object+scrap.
