Fixed Asset depreciation to allocate among projects

Hello,
If I understand it right, it is not possible at all to allocate depreciation cost to a project activity (to flow to Project module) - neither to single nor to multiple projects. 
We have created customization once adding project activity sequence in object preposting, but it appeared much complex than expected (activity must be stored not only in preposting, but in FA accounting transaction as well) and I cannot recommend it.

It is technically working, however due to budget limitations we decided to not modify fa accounting transactions - transaction rollback process is fetching project activity from CURRENT preposting, which we accepted as in our case connection between object and project is not changing very often and we can manage exceptions manually. 
Full scope would require to add activity in preposting, preposting distribution, overview object, accounting transaction table and windows etc. meaning additional costs of development.
