We have just started using the fixed asset functionality on IFS Cloud.
We have numerous assets with the same object group, however, we would like only the depreciation to use different departments when creating the depreciation proposal.
I have tried setting up a preposting (as i note in previous chats this has been advised), using the code part distribution and adding what i wanted, however, this does not pull through onto the depreciation proposal
Any ideas?
Hi,
In posting control for the deprecation expense, enable pre-posting.
For example, add FAP5 (going from memory the expense may be different posting type) for the department code part with preposting as the control type.
The asset is the source for the pre-posting, the posting control with control type preposting is what produces the value in the posting line.
