Can anyone help clarifying below questions please-

  • How to define and link event  to the appropriate project lines or cost elements. How to Verify that the events have been properly set up in the system.
  • How to verify if the conditions for triggering the events are met.

Would appreciate if anyone can  provide detailed steps on how to test revenue recognition with the following parameters?

  • Project Origin: Project
  • Capitalization Posting Method: Transaction
  • Project Type: Capitalize Revenue/Expense
  • Revenue Recognition Method: Event-Based
  • POC Method: Manual

I've completed the setup in the Financial Project screen and have booked actual cost and revenue, but need guidance on how to test it effectively

I would greatly appreciate any assistance!

Hi,

Sorry, but no such link exists. You would naturally establish events and values based on the contract deliverables.  The project management side, sub projects and other - probably should represent the same, but that’s not a hard rule.  You can manage the project any way you want, meaning sub projects / activities can be structured to best serve the operation / project management side.

Sure, it would be wise to craft the events and sub projects data for better consistency.

The connection event to project planning is more suggestive than a hard link.   In other words, it's up to the users to do the right thing.

I’ve seen a few custom solutions using custom fields and other to craft a link / connection.

Best regards,

Thomas
