Error when rollback PCA

Hi Team,

 

I have a question with regards to the Rollback for PCA.When I rollback the PCA I get the error “ Cannot Rollback journal when there are other jouranal created later”

The background is, we ran the PCA for a period and updated to GL and we created some transactions after that and now we need to rollback the PCA to include those transactions for the allocation.

In company set up we use the Rollback Mode as “Rollback”

 

And we don’t use Journal Id’s

 

 

Why the system pulls the above error even we don’t use journal Id’s.(I am aware we do the rollback if we set up the rollback mode to Correction but still i need to check why the system pulls this error eventhough we don’t use journal ids’

Hi, 

Like you wrote, the way around this is to set PCA to correction mode for the rollback. 

The term Journal does exist if you look at GL update History.   The question then becomes is this a bug?

You can enter a support ticket.   Long ago, rollback was tricky often producing an error if PCA was not the last update process.  That was then corrected.  A similar issue as described may exist again. 

Support will assess the issue, and if necessary, arrange for a correction.   - For those reasons, I suggest a support ticket, in the interim change to correction if / when you get the error.
