We have a user trying to do a fixed depreciation but got an error because the dep is including assets from 2021 and 2022, any idea what would cause this? I have found the assets in the proposal that has both 2021 and 2022

I assume that there is problem with depretation for 2021 and 2022 years, not exactly with objects from those years.
You cannot prepare depreciation proposal that contains two accounting year. The customer should first generate depreciation proposal by the end of 2021, post them. And in the next step, they can prepare depreciation proposal for the 2022 year.

if you want to post your proposal, the proposal should contain transactions for one year only.
So, in your case, you should probably cancel your depreciation proposal, and next create the same proposal but only for year 2021, post this propsal, and once again create the same proposal, but this time for year 2022.
