Hi

Has anybody had the following error when running a depreciation proposal?

ORA-20105: DeprProposal.Error when posting depreciation proposal with ID xxx. Batch processing will stop.

We are getting this on posting the FA book, the GR book for the same period has gone through without a problem. The proposal will Create and authorize no problem, its only on posting we see the issue and with such a generic error its difficult to know where to start- the log file is circa 500,000 rows so is a challenge to work.

We are running Apps 10 UPD15

Hi,

Possibly this could be due to the  large number of items in the proposal. I would like to suggest below option to see if them work for you.

 

  • Post the proposal when less no.of users are using the IFS application. May be during the time you start to work.
  • Creating separate proposals based on  parameters such as object group to reduce the volume of items.

Thanks Himarshi.

We have tried running it outside of normal business hours but with the same result so will give it a go using Object Group to reduce the numbers. We had considered this but thought it worth exploring other options in case there was a way of tracing the real error
